Red Sox Game
This photo was used for the Landscape assignment. It was taken at a Red Sox game in late September against the Rays. You can see a little shadow on the grass from where the player is standing. It shows the complementary of dark and light colors. I believe it shows foreground (Ray player), middle ground (stand), and background (sky). Depth of field and space is also displayed which makes the photo visually interesting. The colors in the sky add negative and positive space and show the natural beauty of the sunset. The ISO was set to outdoors and the shutter speed was normal.
Old Bunny Hutches
This photo was taken for the Line and Shape assignment. In this photo you see repetition of squares; the frame of hutches, the doors and if you look on the doors the wire there too. The bush is the first thing to catch your eye. It has the most color then anything else in the photo. You get a little bit of light and dark do to the sun. I feel your eye can be dragged either way through the picture. From the rototiller to the hutch or the bushes to the hutch. Your eyes have a few different directions they can go.
Hiking A Mountain
This photo was taken for Landscape. This picture shows foreground, middleground, and background. The trees in front are more in focus then the trees in the distances. The ISO was set on outdoors and the camera was held at a 200 degree angle facing downward. The picture shows a lot of space. The colors compliment eachother very nicely. What catches my eye is the darkness from the tree in the middle, front.
Stone Wall
This photo was taken for the Pattern and Texture assignemt. I chose this photo because it captures the texture feeling to it very well. You can tell that if you go to touch it, it will be bumpy and rough. The top of the stone looks flat and kind of smooth. You can see some stones at the bottom of the wall that are extremely rigid. When you first look at this photo your eye is grabbed by the opening in the rocks.
Trees
This photo was taken for the Line and Shape assignment. The tree branches are almost parallel to each other. I believe it shows a lot of positive and negative space. I think it has foreground, middleground, and background. As you move up the tree and through the back you start to notice it isn't so clear. The ISO was set to outside and I was using a average shutter speed.
Lockers
This was one of the very first photos taken for Line and Shape. I chose this photo because the lockers lead your eyes. It also shows foreground, middleground, and background. The green lockers draw your eye to the picture, and then as you continue to look at it your eyes move to the blue then down to the line to the persons' feet. You also notice the repetition of circles, rectangles, and squares. I used a relatively fast shutter speed.
